On 1-5 May 2005 Minister of healthcare Mr. Slavcho Bogoev and the Chairmen of eHealth Foundation Bulgaria were on an official visit in Germany.

On 1-5 May 2005 Minister of healthcare Mr. Slavcho Bogoev and the Chairmen of eHealth Foundation Bulgaria were on an official visit in Germany.

The visit in Germany, where the Chairmen of eHealth Foundation Bulgaria was accompanied Minister of healthcare of Bulgaria Mr. Slavcho Bogoev and the secretary of Bulgaria in European Commission Ms. Natalia Efremova 1-5 May 2005 go on in the following sequence:

In 02 May they visited Charite Hospital Berlin, there they have an event with the direction of the hospital in the face of Prof. Dr. Detlev Ganten, Dr. Behrend Behrends and Prof. Dr. Dudenhausen. Like an underlying priority Minister of healthcare of Bulgaria Mr. Slavcho Bogoev specified the development of bilaterally relations between Charite Hospital Berlin and Bulgarian University Clinics as well the development of projects in e-Health area and telemedicine.

It was took a decision to established contact between Charite Hospital and Bulgarian University Clinics in direction of projects refers e-Health area and Telemedicine.

The next meeting was with federal minister of healthcare Mrs. Ulla Schmidt in German Ministry of Healthcare, there was took a decision to conclude a bilaterally understanding between Germany and Bulgaria on ministerial level, it refers:

Financing of the hospitals;
Copying the German experience in e-Health and Telemedicine, copying the German model of electronic health cards;
Copying the model for the Diagnostics Related Group – DRG from Germany to Bulgaria;
Help from Germany to Bulgaria for medical treatment and prevention of drug habit and dependencies.

It was took a decision a group of experts from Bulgaria, in that the Chairmen of eHealth Foundation Bulgaria will be include under the suggestion of Minister of Healthcare of Bulgaria Mr. Slavcho Bogoev to pay an official visit before the end of May in German Ministry of healthcare on expert level and to discuss in concreteness and detailed e-Card area and Telemedicine.

On the next day these basic points were discussed and consolidated with Mr. Schroder from German Ministry of Healthcare.

Till the end of the visit they has a business meetings with the directors of leading companies like Dreger, Braun and Siemens Medical Solutions. The second half of the last day in Germany passed in work atmosphere and discussions.
