eHealth Foundation Bulgaria and ICT Media, license holder of IDG in Bulgaria, are organizing the 2nd National Conference “Information and Communication Technologies for Healthcare” that will take place on February 7th, 2007 in Sheraton Hotel, Sofia. The Forum is organized with the support of Bulgarian Ministry of healthcare. At the conference were participated Dr. Valeri Tzekov, Deputy Minister of Healthcare, Dr. Georgi Grashev and Mr. Vedat Guerkan, Charite Hospital, Berlin, Mr. Alexander Ognianov, Deputy Director National Health Insurance Fund, Ms. Diane Whitehouse, ICT for healthcare, Information Society, EC. The goal of the event was to present the best European and Bulgarian practices of ICT implementation in the healthcare field, to make an overview of the accomplishments in the e-health area in the country, as well as to map out the future plans and strategic steps for the achievement of the EU concept of e-health. The main goal was to take the attention on electronic health cards, patient records and electronic prescriptions.
